Didn't expect a rag to make this much difference on a sweaty hike, but the 180 gsm merino soaks up way more than my old cotton bandana and doesn't get that sour smell after a few days. It's also held up fine through a couple of machine washes so far.

Packed this for a week in the Rockies and it dried way faster than my old cotton bandana after a sweaty climb. The merino doesn't hold stink either, which my tentmate appreciated. Small thing but it's earned a permanent spot in my pack.

The 180 gsm merino is noticeably denser than the cotton bandana I used to carry, so it actually soaks up sweat instead of just smearing it around. Dries overnight clipped to my pack, too.
