Finally a hoody that disappears on your skin—after a 12-mile day the fabric still felt dry and the thumb loops kept my hands covered during gusty ridgelines. The 3,000 trail miles of development really show in the cut; zero chafing even with a pack on.

I've worn it on three long alpine hikes since it arrived, and the merino stays surprisingly comfortable even when the sun is blazing. The hood actually stays put in wind, which is rare for me. It's become my go-to layer for anything over 2,000 meters.
