I knew the belt and straps were sold separately, so no surprises there. The 40L body itself swallows a week of gear and the frame stays stiff even when it's loaded heavy. Just wish the hipbelt were included so I didn't have to buy it twice.

Didn't realize the body comes without the belt and straps, so factor that into the cost. That said, the Ultra fabric feels genuinely tough for how little it weighs, and the 40L size fits a weekend of gear without pushing into "too big to carry on" territory.
