I had to walk through a surprise hailstorm on day three, and the convertible design let me seal up my pack in seconds. Not a single drop got through, and the fabric dried out in under an hour once the sun came back. It earned its spot as my go-to shelter layer for the rest of the trip.

The groundsheet conversion is so clever—I used it as a dry sit pad at every lunch stop and it kept my gear spotless. Really appreciated how the hood stayed up in heavy wind without flopping around.

That zipper system was a lifesaver when I had to quickly pack up camp during an unexpected storm. The fabric kept me bone dry even after hours of steady rain.
